Dolum Estates Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Dolum Estates was founded by veteran winemaker Chad Alexander, who spent decades honing his craft at legendary Napa institutions like The Hess Collection and Robert Craig.

The brand’s philosophy is built on Alexander’s extensive network of relationships with growers. Rather than being tied to a single estate, Dolum sources grapes from "secret" premium sub-districts including Oakville and Stags Leap District; allowing them to produce high-quality wines that rival Napa’s cult bottles but at a more accessible price point.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 90–95% Cabernet and a small portion of Merlot. It is aged in 100% French oak for  22 months to ensure depth and structure.

The wine opens with an aromatic bouquet of blackcurrant and crushed graphite, unfolding into a full-bodied palate of lush blackberry and dark cherry. 

Extensive oak maturation imparts sophisticated savoury layers of dark chocolate and espresso, finishing with a graceful trail of baking spice and sweet cedar.

Pair this robust Cabernet with a rosemary-crusted ribeye steak or a rich mushroom risotto with truffle oil to complement the wine's earthy undertones and firm tannins.
